Prasad is a seasoned marketing professional with deep expertise in the telecom sector, spanning both technical and business domains. Currently leading telecom product initiatives for the Americas at STMicroelectronics, he is responsible for gathering market requirements and promoting secure controllers, SIM/eSIM technologies, and advanced security solutions across the region.
Previously, Prasad held roles at Intel Corporation (following its acquisition of Infineon's wireless division), where he served as a systems engineer and platform architect. In this capacity, he contributed to GSMA standards development, helped shape 3G and LTE baseband definitions, and worked across system architecture elements including memory, display, audio, security, NFC, and driver-to-application integration.
Before Intel, Prasad worked at Gemalto (now Thales), where his contributions included leading the development of the first JavaCard, the first 3G kernel, and pioneering mobile banking initiatives.
Prasad’s core competencies include understanding market dynamics, mapping them to business scenarios, and identifying new revenue opportunities through strategic product planning. His current responsibilities span business development, technical account management (TAM), and customer retention. He provides executive leadership with a 2- to 3-year strategic vision for sustainable growth, underpinned by partnerships, market analysis, and industry reporting.
