Melanie Tiano is Director of Federal Regulatory Affairs at T-Mobile, where she leads engagement on critical issues at the intersection of technology, law, and public policy. Her portfolio spans privacy, cybersecurity, AI, and consumer protection—areas that are increasingly central to shaping the future of telecommunications and digital innovation. Prior to joining T-Mobile, she was Assistant Vice President for CTIA, where she was responsible for overseeing policy positioning and advocacy on matters affecting the wireless industry related to cybersecurity and privacy. Melanie also served at the Federal Communications Commission in various positions in both the Wireline Competition Bureau and the Enforcement Bureau. She began her career serving as Investigative Counsel to the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation under Chairman John D. Rockefeller IV. Melanie is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and received her law degree from the Thomas R. Kline School of Law at Duquesne University.
