GSMA MWC Las Vegas, in partnership with CTIA, wraps after showcasing enterprise growth and innovation opportunities through 5G connectivity

This year’s edition brought together enterprise IT leaders & CIOs, fostering engaging discussions on topics such as 5G, AI and digital transformation

10 October 2024, Las Vegas: GSMA MWC Las Vegas 2024 has concluded after three days showcasing the landscape of enterprise connectivity. With its focus on the needs of the CIO and vertical markets, the event highlighted the importance of quality interactions between CIOs and leaders from the enterprise IT and mobile ecosystem, to help drive digital transformation and innovation across industries.  

John Hoffman, CEO, GSMA Ltd. said, “The mobile ecosystem is at the heart of the digital transformation journey of so many sectors and vertical industries which is why it is important to bring together the mobile ecosystem and enterprise IT leaders at MWC Las Vegas. Over three days, attendees had the opportunity to participate in an array of thought leadership and networking opportunities, from the show floor to the main stage and to summits and forums focusing on vertical sectors such as aviation and defense.”   

MWC Las Vegas featured a packed agenda of summits and keynote sessions and industry leaders explored topics such as 5G, AI, and enterprise digital transformation. The GSMA’s Tech4Girls program, a part of the EQUALS Her Digital Skill Coalition, provided a program of workshops, career advice and seminars for attendees from colleges and universities including the University of Las Vegas and College of Southern Nevada.  

In the region of 6,000 people attended from nearly 90 countries, with over 42% of attendees representing enterprise and adjacent industries beyond the mobile sector, reflecting the show’s changing strategy. Importantly the show was attended by decision makers, with 65% of attendees being director level and above, with over 25% from the C-Suite.

  • 159 hours of thought leadership content was delivered 
  • The keynote sessions remain available to be viewed on demand and so far the content has received over 1800 views on the MWC app, MWC website and Mobile World Live.
