Discussions centered on how connectivity, collaboration, and intelligence are transforming business and society
MWC25 Las Vegas, in partnership with CTIA, closed today following two packed days of ideas and discussion that captured the energy and diversity of North America’s connectivity ecosystem. Bringing together leaders from telecoms, enterprise, and technology, the event spotlighted how AI, 5G, satellite, and intelligent infrastructure are driving new possibilities for industry, society, and the economy – at both a regional and global level.
“This year’s MWC felt different in all the right ways. The conversations were practical and honest, especially from the CIOs who are making real change inside their organizations,” Lara Dewar, Chief Marketing Officer, GSMA, said. “We talk about AI as a technology shift, but what I saw here was a leadership shift, with CIOs proudly showing how innovation happens when people take ownership and collaborate.”
Focusing on the challenges and opportunities facing CIOs, operators, hyperscalers, developers, and policymakers – MWC Las Vegas was defined by future-facing conversation and a shared determination to turn innovation into impact.
Alex Sinclair, Chief Technology Officer, GSMA, said: “MWC has reinstated just how quickly North America is moving. The conversations weren’t about pilots or proof-of-concepts, they were about scale and outcomes. I spoke with CIOs using AI to secure infrastructure, manage airports, and improve patient care – and it was consistently clear that AI and advanced connectivity are no longer separate conversations. They’re becoming one and the same, where networks and intelligence meet to define the next phase of digital transformation.”
This year, MWC Las Vegas welcomed over 85 sponsors, exhibitors, and partners. Across three stages and five summits, attendees explored the technologies and partnerships powering connected industries – including AI-driven networks, private wireless, satellite-to-device connectivity, and more. Attendees were focused on implementation, with 45% coming from enterprise and 61% being C-suite or senior level.
“Connectivity unlocks possibility, and North America is leading the way. This week we've brought enterprise, telco and tech communities together in one place,” Erich Hermanns, Head of Events, North America, GSMA, said. “And what we’ve seen is real evidence that 5G adoption has not only taken off in the country, but that it is driving real-world impact for enterprises across the region. Thank you to everyone who joined us - and thank you to our speakers, sponsors and exhibitors for your partnership.”
Beyond the keynotes, summits and networking, MWC Las Vegas was also host to a dedicated program of activity designed to inspire and supercharge the connectivity careers of young people in the region.
Judith Azcunes, Director of North America Region, GSMA, said: “Sponsored by Verizon, the Tech Careers Bootcamp this year had an incredible buzz from start to finish. You could feel the excitement in the room as these future leaders discovered just how broad and fast-moving the connectivity industry really is and the different roles they can play within it. That sense of discovery and curiosity is what makes me so optimistic about the future.”
As MWC Las Vegas concludes, attention turns to the next chapters in the global MWC series – MWC25 Kigali, MWC25 Doha and MWC26 Barcelona – where business leaders, policy makers, founders and innovators will come to together to do business and shape the future of connectivity.
We look forward to seeing you there.
