Dan Freyer is Director, Satellite Industry at Capgemini where he helps satellite industry clients unlock the value of technology in their business. Within Capgemini’s Engineering R&D Services unit in the US, he focuses on delivering a portfolio of software and hardware engineering, system integration, lab services, and product support to help clients design, build, deploy, and manage their solutions and services. Telecoms industry clients leverage the company’s 15,000 telco engineers — and deep technical expertise in telecoms and satellite user terminals, ground and space segment — to innovate solutions for 5G NTN, Direct-to-Cell, OSS/BSS modernization, AI automation and virtualization.
Dan has over two decades of commercial experience helping leading satellite operators (GEO, MEO, LEO), spacecraft builders, and ground technology suppliers grow their businesses and pioneer new technologies for networking across the globe. Prior to Capgemini, at satellite operator SES, Dan contributed to the commercial development of Cloud connect and LEO-GEO inter-satellite backhaul services. Earlier in his career he led commercial and marketing initiatives for Orange, Ericsson, Intelsat, PanAmSat, Hughes and TRW Space & Electronics (now Northrop Grumman) delivering solutions for telco, enterprise and government customers.
