Noman Alam, Customer Solutions Director for Ericsson Market Area Americas, based in Plano, Texas, is a seasoned telecommunication professional with over 20 years of experience shaping wireless network strategy, spectrum policy, and technology evolution. Noman has led initiatives that have driven network innovation, operational efficiency, and long-term investment planning across the wireless ecosystem.
In his current role at Ericsson, Noman leads the company’s spectrum strategy in North America. He collaborates closely with industry partners, regulatory bodies, and technical teams to inform spectrum-related decisions that facilitate the deployment and optimization of wireless networks. He has a growing focus on Non-Terrestrial Networks and their role in expanding connectivity, supporting 5G use cases, and shaping the future of global mobile infrastructure.
Noman serves as a member of the FCC’s World Radiocommunication Conference Advisory Committee (WAC) and is actively involved in ITU-R activities. His career spans leadership roles across multiple wireless generations from 2G to 5G. Bridging technical depth with business insights to enable scalable networks. He holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Wichita State University and an MBA from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
