Speaker Bio
Lisa Murty is currently the Director of Engineering for of the Dell Telecom Systems Business Unit (TSB) Solution Co-Creation Services (SCS) group. She joined Dell Technologies in January of 2021 and has the privilege of working with extended teams to look at new and innovative approaches to transformation in the telecom industry. The goal is to create flexible outcome base solutions as part of a joint Go-to-Market (GTM) campaign with Telcos globally. In March 2022 she was awarded the TSB Game Changer Award for collaboration across technical teams in TSB.
Before joining Dell, she had worked at Lockheed Martin - Space for 23 years supporting many Federal Customers. Her last role was managing the Advanced Programs Development Division which included managing a large Research & Development portfolio and responsibility for key International Captures. Specifically, she was focused on growing business for the Australia Space Division. Since 2011 when she started working on captures in key roles, she has influenced just under $1B in new business and carries a 91% capture win percentage. She was also a Certified Advanced Level Architect and Senior Capture Manger. Blending the technical and Business Development skills, she found herself at the center of many strategic programs and captures over the years.
Things she can specifically acknowledge while working in the Federal Space include:
• 2014: Transitioned the first 3 operational capabilities to the Amazon C2S cloud for the Intel Community
• Built and delivered the largest Google Earth Globe (outside Google) as cited during Google’s 2011-2013 Federal Conferences
• May 2006: Hurricane Recognition Award; presented by NGA for “...demonstrating the highest caliber of expertise, professionalism and dedication under extreme conditions during a time of unprecedented National crisis"
• 2003: NGA Recognition Award; presented by NGA for “appreciation of service to the Nation during Operation Iraqi Freedom”
• 2002: Lockheed Martin President’s Circle Award; presented by Lockheed Martin for overall support to Crisis Operations
•2001: Superior Performance Award; presented by Lockheed Martin Technical Operations in support of 9/11 Crisis Operations at the Pentagon
• 2001: Meritorious Unit Citation Award; presented by NIMA for “dedicated efforts to transition multiple systems and operational capabilities…without interruption…of information critical to support their mission.”
Ms. Murty has a B.S. in Computer Systems Engineering from The University of Massachusetts – Amherst and is recognized as an IEEE Senior Engineer. She resides in Alexandria, VA, USA with her family of James, their new daughter Isabella and bonus sons - Jackson and Alexander. She grew up in the shadows of the New York horse racing tracks of Belmont, Aqueduct and Saratoga and is a fourth-generation horseman on both sides of her family. She enjoys playing with her two miniature schnauzers, paddle-boarding, sewing and vintage gaming.
