Fan Gao is a Partner in McKinsey & Company’s Seattle Office, where he serves a variety of telecommunications and high tech clients on strategy, business building, technology / innovation, operations and sustainability. He leads McKinsey’s business building practice in TMT, and spearheads much of McKinsey’s research in network operations and 5G.
Previously, Fan co-led McKinsey’s TMT practice in the Greater China Office, where he worked with leading Asian companies on growth and innovation. He’s worked closely with over 25 operators spanning the Americas, Asia and Europe. Prior to joining McKinsey, Fan worked as a part of IBM Software Group’s strategy team and Softbank’s VC arm. He graduated from the University of Toronto with a degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on telecommunications.
