The 2023 edition of GSMA MWC Las Vegas saw a rise in attendees from vertical industries with well-attended debate stages, dedicated vertical industry summits, conference programs and keynotes
28 September 2023, Las Vegas: GSMA MWC Las Vegas concluded today at the Las Vegas Convention Center West Hall bringing the North American edition of MWC to an end until next year. Over 8,000 attendees, including nearly 40% from industries adjacent to the mobile industry focused on digital transformation, packed the debate stages and dedicated industry summits, conference programs and keynote auditorium. Including online viewing, overall participation in MWC Las Vegas comes to around 10,000.
MWC Las Vegas 2023 featured unique editions of Industry City, DEV CON and SEC CON curated especially for the event. The GSMA welcomed 380 exhibitors and sponsors across the show floor and over 300 business, policymakers and connectivity leaders on stage for the event keynotes and speaking sessions at the GSMA Programs, HUB Startup & Innovation Zone and other spaces throughout the event.
Industry City at MWC Las Vegas hosted over 1,000 show attendees at a dedicated conference program focused on Sports & Entertainment, Manufacturing, FinTech, and Smart Mobility. Sports & Entertainment and Manufacturing in particular were popular summits for Industry City attendees.
A new GLOMO was announced from DEV CON; the winner for the GLOMO Open Gateway API Developers Challenge will be revealed at the GLOMO Awards at MWC Barcelona 2024.

MWC Las Vegas by the numbers
- Over 8,000 attended in person, with representation from 80 countries
- 57% of attendees at director level and above, of which over 17% from the C-suite
- Attendees representing over 2,800 companies, with nearly 40% of attendees from adjacent industries beyond the mobile sector
- 380 exhibitors and sponsors
- The HUB Startup and Innovation Zone comprising two stages, hosted 18 sessions and 43 speakers. The sessions included the GSMA Intelligence Satellite Summit and Sustainability Summit, as well as DEV CON.
- Industry City hosted 13 sessions, with over 1000 attendees joining the Sports & Entertainment, Manufacturing, FinTech and Smart Mobility summits
- Over 300 conference and partner program speakers
- Around 120 hours of event content
- 35% of conference speakers were female
- Nearly 1900 live views of the keynote sessions online at Mobile World Live
- The conference sessions will be available to watch on demand on the GSMA app (available on App Store and Google Play) and Mobile World Live
