GSMA MWC25 Las Vegas: Registration open for Tech Careers Bootcamp, powering the next generation of technology and connectivity innovators

Designed for students and young professionals, the program combines practical learning with access to the global tech community

Las Vegas. It’s a city built on ambition and reinvention - and is the home of MWC25 Las Vegas, delivered in partnership with CTIA - making it the perfect stage for the tech leaders of tomorrow to learn their first lessons and take their first steps into the world of tech.

This year, MWC Las Vegas will feature the Tech Careers Bootcamp, supported by Verizon, a program designed to help students and young professionals launch and accelerate their careers in the fast-moving world of technology and telecommunications.

The program’s goal is simple: to equip the next wave of talent with the skills, confidence, and connections to seek a career in the wireless telecom industry.

Participants can expect a packed schedule that blends inspiration with practical experience. From keynote sessions led by industry trailblazers to interactive workshops focused on CV building, interview preparation, and networking, every single minute of the Bootcamp is designed to deliver lessons and tools that translate directly into real-world opportunities for those looking to break into tech.

Sponsors and partners of MWC Las Vegas are actively involved, bringing their expertise to provide mentorship, share career journeys, and offer insider perspectives on how to thrive in the industry. In addition to hearing from Justin Tanner, Social Innovation Lead, Corporate Social Responsibility at Verizon, participants will be able to hear from:

  • Edward Thompson, Youth Development Specialist, City of Las Vegas
  • Lara Dewar, Chief Marketing Officer, GSMA
  • Michael Loch, Associate General Counsel – Technology, GSMA
  • Ruben Carrillo, Technical Manager, Open Gateway, GSMA
  • Yolanda Sanz, eSIM Senior Working Director, GSMA
  • Shilpa Bhanot, Director, Systems Architecture, T-Mobile

The Tech Careers Bootcamp takes place alongside MWC25 Las Vegas, North America’s premier conference for Chief Information Officers (CIOs) and enterprise connectivity. While the main event addresses how Artificial Intelligence, private wireless networks, and frontier technologies are reshaping industries, the Bootcamp focuses on the people who will drive that transformation forward.

Whether you’re a student ready to enter the workforce or a young professional looking to take the next step, this is your chance to gain practical skills, meet industry leaders, and begin building your career in tech.

Registration for the Tech Careers Bootcamp is free and open now. Tech leaders of the future over the age of 18 are welcome to apply to participate here.
